IMPORTANT Never use hose nozzles or harsh
detergents for cleaning the body and engine!
7.6.2 Cleaning the discharge chute (for
rear collection models only)
If the discharge chute is clogged:
1. remove the grass catcher or the
rear discharge guard;
2. remove the grass cuttings; you can reach
them from the chute discharge opening.
7.6.3 Cleaning the grass catcher (for
rear collection models only)
1. Empty the grass catcher
2. Shake it to remove grass
cuttings and soil residue
3. Replace the grass catcher and clean
the interior of the cutting device
assembly (par. 7.6.4-a), now remove
the grass catcher, empty and rinse it,
then place it where it can dry quickly.
7.6.4 Cleaning the cutting
device assembly
Keep people or animals away from
the surrounding area when cleaning
the cutting device assembly.
a. Cleaning the interiors
Remove any traces of grass or dirt that
have accumulated inside the cutting device
assembly, since otherwise these may
dry and harden, making it more difficult
to start the device the next time.
When washing the inside of the cutting
device assembly and the discharge chute,
the machine must be on firm ground with:
– the grass catcher or the rear
discharge guard mounted in place
(for rear collection models only)
– the side discharge chute mounted (for
models with side discharge only);
– the operator seated;
– the cutting device assembly in position «1»;
– the engine running
– the transmission in neutral
– the cutting device engaged
• Alternatively, connect a water tube to the
dedicated coupling (fig. 35.A), allowing
water to flow through each cutting device
for a few minutes, while they are in motion.
IMPORTANT In order not to compromise
the efficiency of the electromagnetic clutch:
- do not let the clutch come into contact with oil;
- do not spray pressurised water
directly on the clutch unit;
- do not clean the clutch with petrol.
b. Cleaning the exterior
Do not let debris and dried grass
accumulate in the upper part of the
cutting device assembly in order
to maintain maximum machine
efficiency and safety levels.
To clean the upper part of the
cutting device assembly:
• lower the cutting device assembly
completely (position «1»);
• direct an air jet through the apertures in
the left and right safety guards (fig. 36).
7.7
NUTS AND BOLTS
• Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure
the equipment is in safe working condition.
8. EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
8.1 SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
You must go to a Authorised
Service Centre or contact your Dealer
if the following are malfunctioning:
- the brake
- the cutting device engage
and disengage functions
- switching the drive to forward
or reverse gears.
8.2 CUTTING DEVICE ASSEMBLY
8.2.1 Aligning the cutting device assembly
The cutting device assembly should be properly
adjusted to obtain an evenly mown lawn (fig. 37).
If mowing is uneven, check the
tyre pressure (par. 6.1.3).
If this is not sufficient to achieve an even
cut, please contact your Dealer to adjust the
alignment of the cutting device assembly.
