Germicidal solutions (formalin, phenol, alcohol etc.) are
good general-purpose desinfectants. It is important that
all disinfectant residues are then removed with sterilized
water.

The IKA
laboratory reactor system requires little main-

tenance. The ball bearings are sealed and lubricated for
life.
When ordering spare parts, please give the manufacturing
number shown on the type olate, the machine type and the
name and item-no. of the spare part.
Before you send any equipment to us for repair, ensure that
it has been cleaned of any toxic or corrosive substances.
Use only water with a detergent additive containing a sur-
face active agent or, in cases of extreme contamination,
isopropyl alcohol for cleaning parts not in contact with the
medium.

This denotes the use of a steam jet pressurized to 2 bar at
120 °C.
Sterilization with hot air:
Hot-air sterilization is usually performed at 160 °C or
190 °C.
Repairs
Please only send devices in for repair that have been
cleaned and are free of materials which might pres-
ent health hazards.
For this, use the "certificate of compliance" form which
you can obtain from IKA

If your appliance requires repair, return it in its original pack-
aging. Storage packaging is not sufficient when sending the
device - also use appropriate transport packaging.
