3. Please make sure the mulching wedge is mounted firmly
after the changeover.
4. Caution!!! Original spare parts from the manufacturer to
be used only.
5. Demounting
Press with your thumb in the middle (3) and release and pull
the mulching wedge down.
Caution!!!
If the mower gets blocked when mulching, reduce the
travelling speed so that the blade could grind the grass
longer and spread it on the lawn. Never remove the
accumulated grass by hand.
DRIVE CONTROL
The self-propelled travel is controlled as follows: Press the
operating lever (stirrup for automatic switch-off) (pic. 1/12)
towards the handle while also pressing the drive lever
(pic. 1/13) towards the handle.
Forward movement will stop by releasing the drive lever
(pic. 1/13).
CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
It is necessary to adjust the height of wheels, depending on
the required cutting height. Use the lever (pic. 1/8) to adjust
the cutting height as desired. The medium position is the most
suitable position for most of the mowers.
ADDING OIL BEFORE STARTING (amount of oil – 0.6 l)
SAE 30, 15W40, etc.
Oil must be checked before each use. Add oil if necessary.
FUNNEL LID/OIL DIPSTICK
Upper limit
Bottom limit
Your mower has been supplied with no oil in the
engine.
WARNING: Make sure the motor oil does not flow over
as the muffler would smoke when starting the machine.
1. Make sure the mower is standing on a level surface.
2. Remove the lid from the oil tank.
3. Insert and fasten the oil dipstick.
IMPORTANT:
• Check the motor oil level whenever the appliance is
to be used. The oil level must be between Min and
Max. If it is below Min, you must add some oil.
• Change oil after 50 hours of operation or after each
season. In a dusty or dirty environment it may be
necessary to change oil more often. See
"CHANGING OIL" in Servicing in this manual.
ADDING FUEL (unleaded petrol)
•
Fuel is added using the filling hole in the tank. Make
sure petrol does not get spilt. Use common clean
unleaded petrol. Do not mix petrol with oil. Buy
always a reasonable amount of petrol so that it can
be consumed in 30 days.
WARNING: Wipe off any spilt oil or petrol. Do not
store, pour or use it near open fire.
FUEL TANK CAP
WARNING: Alcohol fuels (gasohol) or fuels mixed with
ethanol or methanol may attract moisture and therefore
produce acid. Clean petrol can thus damage the engine
fuel system as a result of long storing. To prevent
problems with the engine, you should empty the fuel
system before storing the machine for more than 30 days.
Empty the fuel tank, start the engine and let it run until the
fuel system and carburettor are empty. Add fresh fuel each
season. See the storing instructions. Never add any
cleaning agents to the fuel tank in order to clean the engine
or carburettor. By this, the engine could get irreparably
damaged.
STARTING THE ENGINE
When starting, first make sure the spark plug is in place and
there is sufficient amount of oil and petrol in the machine.
NOTICE: Due to the protective oil film on the inner
surface of the engine, the engine may smoke when
started for the first time. Consider this normal.
1.
Press the Primer pump (pic. 1/14) 3 times!!!
2.
Press the operating lever (stirrup for automatic
switch-off) (pic. 1/12) towards the adjustable handle
(pic. 1/1).
3.
With the operating lever (stirrup for automatic switch-
off) (pic. 1/12) being pulled, pull slowly the starting cord
(pic. 1/10) until you feel slight resistance, then pull
strongly the starter until the engine is started.
NOTICE: The first steps may be necessary to repeat
several times in cold weather or when the machine has
not been used for a long time.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
•
To stop the engine, release the operating lever (stirrup
for automatic switch-off) (pic. 1/12).
WARNING! The blade keeps rotating for a few
seconds after switching the engine off. If you want to
leave the mower unattended, disconnect the spark
plug cap.
Important tips and advice for cutting grass!!!
•
Under some conditions, e.g. when the grass is very
high, it may be necessary to adjust a greater cutting
height to reduce the strain, remove the engine
overloading and prevent grass from getting stuck in the
mower.
It is also possible that you will need to cut
the area again.
•
The mower can be manoeuvred well without
wheels being powered!
