Fitting the handle
IMPORTANT: Fit the handle carefully to prevent any cable
squeezing or damage.
1. Raise the handle until it snaps in the
operating position.
2. Remove the protective packaging, raise the upper
part of the handle and fit it together with the
bottom part. Tighten the lock screws on both
sides of the handle.
3. Remove the protective packaging of the operating
handle in the upper part.
Noise reduction information
Some noise pollution cannot be avoided with this machine.
Perform any noisy work at a time suitable and recommended
for this type of work. Respect any period of quiet and limit
your work to a necessary time. Appropriate ear protectors
need to be used for your personal protection and protection
of persons near you.

This machine has not been designed to be used by persons
(including children) with limited psychic, sensory and mental
skills or insufficient experience and/or knowledge, unless
they work under the supervision of a safety engineer and
have received instructions from the engineer on how to use
the machine.
Children must be supervised to make sure they do not play
with the machine.

Safety instructions

IMPORTANT: The lawn mower may amputate toes or fingers
and throw away various items. The failure to comply with the
below-mentioned safety regulations may lead to serious
injuries.
WARNING: To prevent any unintentional starting of
the machine when adjusting, transporting or servicing it,
the spark plug cable must always be disconnected.
WARNING: Exhaust gases and their components
contain or more precisely emit chemicals that act as
carcinogens, are able to harm the fetus or cause
impairment of fertility.
WARNING: The muffler and other engine components
may get very warm when the machine is operated. They
remain hot after switching the engine off. Do not touch these
components to prevent any burns.
WARNING: Never touch in the open side ejection when
the engine is running!!!
Please read carefully the Operating Instructions.
Familiarise with the operating elements and learn how
to use the machine properly.

Keep your hands and feet in a safe distance from the
rotating parts. Keep a safe distance from the machine
ejection. Caution: Do not touch the rotating parts of
the machine.
The machine should only be operated by responsible
persons familiarised with the Operating Instructions.
Search carefully the ground where the machine is to
be used. Remove any items that could be thrown away
by the machine when being operated.
Wear solid shoes and long trousers when cutting.
Never cut when barefooted or in light sandals.
Avoid moving the mower backwards if not urgent.
When moving backwards, look backwards and under
you.
Never use the mower if the protective equipment, e.g.
ejector flap and/or collection box, is damaged or
missing.
Equipment approved by the manufacturer to be used
only.
Switch the blade off when crossing paths or roads.
Switch the engine off and loosen the spark plug.

before releasing any blocked parts or
cleaning the blocked ejection channel.

before any check, cleaning or any work on the
mower.

after an undesirable item has been caught by the
mower.
Check whether the mower is not damaged; remove
any damage before starting the mower again.

if the mower is vibrating unusually strongly (to be
checked immediately)
Switch off the engine and wait until the blade fully
stops before removing the collection box.
Cut only in daylight or under adequate artificial lighting.
Do not operate the machine when you are under the
influence of alcohol or drugs.
Never cut in wet grass. Pay attention to where you put
your feet and hold firmly the guide handle. Guide the
mower slowly.
Release the wheel drive clutch before starting the
engine.
Replace any defective dampers.
Wear protective glasses whenever working with the
mower.
Remove any obstacles, e.g. stones and branches.
Make sure the ground is not uneven; there may be
hidden obstacles in high grass.
Do not cut near slopes and ditches. You could lose
stability and balance.
Do not use the machine in too steep terrain.
Be aware that the owner or user is responsible for any
injury and danger to other persons and for any
damage.
Be careful and switch the mower off when children are
around.
When on a slope, cut along the contour, never up or
down the hill.
Never allow children or other persons not familiarised
with the Operating Instruction to operate the machine.
The age of the user may be limited by local
regulations.
WARNING: Petrol is highly flammable.

Keep petrol in containers designed for that
purpose only.

Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke when
refuelling.

Refuel before starting the engine. Never open the
tank closure and refuel when the engine is hot or
running.

Never try to start the machine when petrol gets
spilled. Take the machine away and prevent any
source of ignition from being produced near the
spilt petrol.

Provide safe change of the petrol tank and
closures.
