Before using the mower, always check whether the
blade, blade screws and cutting mechanism are not
damaged or worn out. Any worn out or damaged
blades and screws to be always replaced in the entire
set to prevent any machine imbalance. Do not make
any changes to the protective equipment. Check the
protective equipment at regular intervals if working
properly.
Keep the machine clean, with no pollution by grass,
leaves or other dirt. Remove any leaked oil or petrol at
all times. Let the engine cool down before storing the
mower to confined spaces.
Never adjust the height of wheels when the engine is
running.
The grass collection equipment may lose its
functionality and various items may get thrown away
due to wear or damage. Check regularly the mower
components and replace them with spare parts
recommended by the manufacturer if necessary.
The mower blade is very sharp. Risk of injury! Be
especially careful when servicing the blade; wear
protective gloves or cover the blades.
Do not change the basic engine setting and avoid any
engine overloading.
Switch off the blade if you need to tilt or lift the mower
to cross an area other than grass or when moving the
mower to the area to be cut.
Release all blade and drive clutches before starting the
engine.
Start the engine as specified in the Operating
Instructions while making sure your feet are in a safe
distance from the blade.
When starting, do not tilt the mower except when
necessary. In such a case, do not tilt the mower more
than necessary and lift the side away from you at all
times.
Do not start the engine when standing in front of the
ejection opening.
Never lift or carry the mower when the engine is
running.
Reduce the brake adjustment when switching off the
engine. Shut off the petrol supply after cutting if the
engine has a shut-off valve.
Make sure your posture is safe when working on
slopes.
Do not let the combustion engine run in confined
spaces where dangerous carbon monoxide can be
accumulated.

Operation
Operating lever (stirrup for automatic switch-off) (12) -
press it to the handle when starting. To switch the engine off,
release the lever.
The drive lever (13) is used to move the mower forward.
Area of use:
Mulching
With the mulching wedge inserted (see "Changeover to
mulching"), grass is not ejected but ground by the cutting
blades and grass remains on the lawn as surface
fertilisation.
Cutting and collection
Grass is collected to the collection box (wet or damp grass
reduces the box capacity). To fit the box to the mower, lift
the cover plate and hang the collection box.
Cutting (without collection box)
Cut grass is laid in strips.
Cutting (side ejection)
Cut grass is laid to side in strips. Loosen the screw
(pic. 1/15), remove the side ejection (pic. 1/2) and the screw
and retighten the screw (pic. 1/15).
Changeover to "mulching"
1.
Mounting and demounting of accessory equipment
must always be performed with the engine being switched
off.
2. After removing the collection box, insert the mulching
wedge in the ejection channel and lock it so that the
mulching wedge (1) is against both openings (2) on the
bottom part and secured by a self-locking hook (3).
