3 Setup
3.1 General Safety Information
When you receive the bed, check the packaging. If the packaging
shows any signs of damage upon delivery, contact the shipping
company.
WARNING!
Risk of injury or damage to property
The assembly of the bed and installation of accessories
must be done by authorized or trained personnel.
– Follow instructions carefully. If you have any question
regarding the assembly, contact your local dealer or
Invacare representative.
– If the bed shows any sign of damages, do not use the
bed. Contact your local dealer.
– The electrical equipment of the bed must not
be dismantled or combined with other electrical
equipment.
– After each assembly, check that all fittings are properly
tightened and that all parts have the correct function.

IMPORTANT!
– To prevent condensation, the bed should not be used
until it has reached a temperature of 10-40° C.
3.2 Main parts of the bed

Side rails are not delivered in the main configuration. For
more information about side rails and other accessories,
contact your Invacare representative.

3.3 Assembling the bed

1. Push the inserts on the upper half of the mattress support into
the side tubes on the lower half of the mattress support.

2. Tighten with two thumb screws.
3. Make sure that the four mattress retainers are positioned
pointing upwards.
4. Turn the locking rings on the bed end to position OPEN.
5. Latch the brackets of the mattress support either in high position
(A) or low position (B) to the bed end and press them firmly
into position. (It's normal that there's a small space between
the upper slot and the bracket)
6. Turn the locking rings into Position LOCK.
CAUTION!
The locking rings ensure that the mattress support can't
be accidently lifted off the bed ends.
– Make sure that all locking rings are locked and in the
upper slot as shown in the picture.
– Make sure that all brackets are attached in the same
position (high or low).
3.4 Install Rastofix
(optional)
1. Press bottom of Rastofix at the foot end of the bed.
2. Squeeze upper end of Rastofix together.
3. Rotate Rastofix between tabs and release.

3.5 Control Box

The control box is latched to the backrest motor.
