Appropriate use

The 3RG7256-3NQ00-PF distance sensor is not authorised for use in protecting human safety on
machines and during technical applications.
The 3RG7256­3NQ00­PF device is an optical sensor and measures distances without contact. When combined (see
examples of use) with another device, the thickness of objects can also be measured.

Mode of operation

The sensor uses the triangulation principle in which the distance between object and sensor is determined by means
