Safety
1.1. Introduction
The slicing maschines have been fitted wit h safety
devices. They were subjected t o a safety inspection
EN
and acceptance test.
In case of operating errors or misuse, hazards may
occur nonetheless for
• the health of the operation
• the machine or other material assets of the ope-
rator.
All persons who are involved in the erection, ope-
ration, servicing and repair of t he machine have to
• be trained for their activities
• precisely observe these operating instructions
1.2. Safety instructions
These operating instructions use the following sym-
bols and keywords:

indicates a potentially hazardous situation. In
case of non-observation of the note, severe in-
juries may be caused.

1.5. Sources of hazard
The rotating blade may sever parts of the body. Your
fingesrs, in particular the thumbs, are at risk. For this
reason, do not reach into the space between the last
slice device and the blade and/or the thickness plate
as long as the thickness plate has not been closed
completely. When the last slice device is lifted, there
is a risk that it drops suddenly when you move the
carriage. Therefore use the last slice device always
to press the product down from the carriage. The
slicing machine operates with mains voltage. There-
fore the machine must not be opened.
1.6. Work place
Operate the machine only, if you are standing up-
right and securely. Stand in front of the machine
looking at the on-off switch and the adjustment
button.
Keep the work place clean and well arrange. The
machine has to be set up on a secure and scarriage
support which will withstand a weight of approx. 18
kg and slight vibrations.
1.7. Authorised operator
The slicing machine may be operated by persons
only, who
• have read and understood the operating condi-
tions,
• have been trained for the operation,
• who have been made acquainted with the ha-
zards caused by the machine and with the hygie-
ne instructions (page 6).
The machine may be services and repaired by trai-
ned expert staff only (mechanic, electrician).
Please ensure that no authorised persons can use,
clean or service the machine.
1.8. Workwear
Wear tight-fitting clothing when operating the ma-
