CLEANING THE AIR CONDENSER
To ensure the appliance functions properly, the air condenser must be kept clean so that the air can circulate and
reach all of the condenser's surface (Figure 17). This must be done at least every 30 days. Use non-metal brushes for
cleaning.
The condenser can be accessed from the
front by removing the control panel

(Figure 17).
MAINTAINING THE STAINLESS STEEL
By stainless steel we mean AISI 304/1.4301 steel. Please take particular note of the following instructions when
cleaning parts made of stainless steel. The fi rst and fundamental rule is to ensure the quality and complete hygiene
of the products. Stainless steel has a thin oxide layer which prevents the formation of rust. However, some cleaning
agents can destroy or damage this layer and allow the steel to corrode.
Ask your dealer for a recommended cleaning agent to prevent corrosion of the stainless steel. A neutral, chlorine-free
cleaning agent is advisable. If the surface has been scratched, polish it in the direction of the silking using very fi ne
stainless-steel wool or a synthetic-fi bre abrasive sponge.
Attention: When cleaning stainless steel, do not use ordinary steel (mild steel) wool. Never place this type of steel
wool on the surface, as very small particles of mild steel dust could remain and promote corrosion. This could cause
toxic substances to form and reduce the standard of hygiene.
DISCONTINUED USE
If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period, follow the advice below to keep it at its best:
OFF
Place the mains switch in the
Fig. 18
OFF position (Figure 18).
Empty the appliance and clean it as described in the section "Cleaning the cabinet". Leave the door ajar to prevent
the formation of unpleasant odours. Cover the appliance with a nylon cloth to protect it from dust. If voltage to an
appliance with an external refrigeration unit is to be switched off, do not forget to switch off the external refrigeration
unit as well by setting its switch to OFF.
DISPOSAL
If the cabinet is to be disposed of, please do so in an environmentally correct way. There are special requirements/
conditions to be observed.
