• Close the unit cover (8, fig. 1).
The cover will only close if the cartridge has been properly installed. The red "Unit cover open" LED (7, fig. 1) will remain
on until the unit cover has been properly closed.
• Please refer to the instructions of the impression material manufacturer when preparing and leveling the cartridge systems.
Use only mixing nozzles recommended by the impression material manufacturer.
The use of other mixing nozzles may cause malfunction.

Select mixing program
The mixing program is selected by pressing the program keys (15). The selection of a particular
mixing program is confirmed by the green LED lamp next to the relevant program key.
The mixing programs marked with an asterisk
special impression materials and cartridge / mixing nozzle systems which carry these symbols.
Any impression materials and cartridge / mixing nozzle systems not carrying these symbols
must be processed with the "ST" mixing program.
Please note that impression materials which are processed with the wrong mixing
program will not meet the quality standards guaranteed by the respective manufacturer.
The following points apply when selecting the mixing program:
• Activate the mixing program by pressing the corresponding program key (15, fig 7).
The LED next to the program key goes on.
For mixing program the following applies:
– When the extrusion process has been completed, the mixing program selected remains in standby mode and
is still enabled when the unit is switched off.
– When changing the cartridge, the plungers need to be moved to their home position and the mixing program is deactivated.
– When the plungers are in the home position, the unit cover is open and no mixing program is activated,
the LED program key will flash.
– When the unit cover is closed, the LED will turn off. When opening the unit cover and no extrusion process has been
started or no mixing program has been activated, the LED will start flashing again.
– If the operator presses one of the feed keys (impression tray (2, fig. 8) or dispenser (3, fig. 8)) without selecting
a mixing program, the "ST" program will be activated automatically. The LED next to the "ST" key goes on.
– The operator can change from one mixing program to a different one at any time by pressing the relevant program key.

Extrusion
• Set up the unit as instructed in section 5.1.
• Press and hold down the advance key (2) or (3) (depending on the desired speed or function):
– Impression tray (2), normal extrusion speed with activated mixing program
or
– Impression syringe (3), slow extrusion speed.
○ The mixer shaft is activated in order to allow the hexagonal end (13, fig 1) to thread itself into
the mixing nozzle.
○ The plungers advance at high speed until they reach the impression material.
○ Once the plungers' disc contact the impression material, the unit automatically switches to the
selected extrusion speed.
• Fill the impression tray or impression syringe.
• Release the advance key as soon as the desired amount of material has been extruded.
○ The plungers retract with a short relief stroke to prevent any additional impression material from being extruded.
The plungers will only move if the unit cover is closed.
The first 5 cm of impression material from a newly installed cartridge or from a previously used inserted
cartridge should be discarded. Please note the impression material manufacturer's recommendations!
If the cartridge is emptied during an extrusion, the plungers automatically return to their home position so that
a new cartridge can be quickly installed to start a new extrusion process.
