20. Always disconnect the mains cable from the
power network before carrying out any cleaning,
servicing or maintenance work.
21. Always use suitable extension cables.
22. Only connect to a power network that is fitted
with leakage current protection equipment.
23. Only persons who are familiar with the machine
and who have been instructed in the possible
hazards may operate, service or repair it.
24. Remove all jewellery when working close to
electrical components.
25. Only use original replacement and accessory
parts. No liability is accepted for parts from oth-
er manufacturers.
26. When performing cleaning and servicing work,
ensure that authoritative regulations applicable
to the particular location regarding the correct
handling of oils, fats, acids, alkalis, fuels and
other similar agents are obeyed.
27. Observe the regulations applicable to your
location when disposing of old machines or their
components.
28. Do not clean the machine with a high-pressure
cleaner.
Petrol version
29. Use only fuel, fuel mixture and engine oil as
recommended by the manufacturer.
Danger!
30. Do not touch high-tension cables while engine
is running.
31. Do not touch the spark-plug cap.
32. Fire hazard! Always turn the machine off when
filing up
33. Do not use open flames when manipulating
internal combustion engines
34. Poisoning hazard! Do not use machines with
internal combustion engines in enclosed spac-
es.
35. Burning hazard! Do not touch the exhaust pipe.
1. Preparing the Machine

Check the cutters and cutting rotor for wear,
and if necessary replace with new parts

Use appropriate dust removal equipment
2. Correct working position

Adjust the control bar at the correct working
position
3. Turning the Electric Model on / off

Insert the mains plug.
For the 3-phase version: pay attention to the
direction of rotation of the rotor

Do not lay the connecting cable in intended
work direction.

Unwind the connecting cable completely from
the drum.
4.
Adjust the desired grinding depth.

Switching on
Note: Only switch the machine on when the
milling rotor is raised
"ON", press green switch-on button

Turning the Gasoline Model on / off
1.
Starting:
(A) Mains switch on "ON"
(B) Position the throttle on idling
(C) Cold Engine: Operate choke valve
(CHOKE)
(D) Open gasoline tap
(E) Pull starting lever through strongly until
the engine is running
Full gas position – only after hot running of
the engine

Turning the Machine off:
(A) Mains switch on "OFF"
(B) Gas lever to idling position
4. Adjust the milling depth

Adjust milling depth by turning the adjusting
spindle and lock by means of the lock screw.
5. Fitting new cutters
1.
Unplug
2.
Remove the rotor
3.
Change the cutters
4.
Check all parts for wear, and replace with new
ones if necessary

Fit new cutters and shims

Put the rotor back in place

Axial play on the cutter rods may not exceed approx.

7. Fitting milling cutters

When using milling cutters, always:
Check equipment
The cutting faces of the milling cutters must
all point in the same direction forwards in
the direction of travel
Check the direction in which the rotor is
turning
The cutting faces must strike the ground

Warning: Danger of jamming
Axial play on the cutter rods may not exceed approx.

9. Transporting the machine
1. Always secure machine for transporting in the
vehicle
10. Maintenance and service
(Electrical Version)
1. Always withdraw the mains plug before begin
ning servicing work.
2. Regularly check the mains plug and connecting
cable for functional safety.
3. Only trained electricians may work on electrical
components.
4. Regularly check the cutting tools and the rotor
