Introduction
These instructions will help you to become familiar
with your machine and to operate it correctly. Please
read our instructions before you operate the ma-
chine.
The right to make technical changes is reserved.
Spare parts and service
Repairs must only be carried out by a trained tech-
nician.
Type plate
The type and the serial number of your machine
may be found on its type plate. This information will
be required for ordering spare parts. Please make a
note of them in the space below so that they will
always be available when required!

Unpacking the machine
You should examine both the shipping carton and
the machine as soon as it has arrived. If you find
any damage, retain the packaging so that it can, if
necessary, be examined by the carrier. Contact the
carrier immediately and report the damage.
Safety instructions and warnings
Symbols indicate possible hazards. Please read this
information carefully, and take the appropriate steps
to protect both persons and property.
Danger!
This symbol is used to indicate an im-
mediate danger that could be injurious
or fatal to the user
Warning!
This symbol is used to warn of a situation
that could be injurious to the user
Caution!
This symbol is used to draw attention to
situations in which light injury to the user
or damage to the machine could occur.
Ear protection!
High operating noise level. Always wear
ear protection.
Certain fundamental safety rules must be observed
when using an electrical device.
Read all the safety instructions and warring notes
before you operate the machine.
Caution!
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock
or injury:

This machine is only to be used together with
accessories supplied by the manufacturer for
grinding:

concrete surfaces
•
flooring screeds
2.
Use the machine for appropriate operations
only.
3.
The machine is not suitable for use:

in areas of explosive hazard
•
on inflammable materials

This machine may only be used by:

persons who have been instructed in its
correct use

ised to operate the machine.

When using the machine, pay attention to other
persons, and in particular to children.

The operator must ensure that no unauthorised
persons work with the machine.

Always check the operational safety of the
machine before using it.

The operator is obliged to check the machine
after use for externally visible damage or faults.
Modifications that affect safety are to be report-
ed to our service department.
9.
The operator or the owner of the machine must
ensure that the machine is only ever used when
it is in technically perfect condition.
10. No safety devices must ever be removed, modi-
fied or deactivated.
11. The manufacturer's liability will lapse with any
unauthorised modification or change to the ma-
chine.

12. The mains voltage must agree with the voltage
printed on the type plate.
13. Do not start the machine by bypassing electrical
circuits.
14. The mains cable must not

be damaged by being driven over,
crushed, yanked etc.
•
it is dangerous to drive over it when the
machine is in operation.
15. Regularly check the mains cable for damage.
16. Do not use the machine if the mains cable is
not in perfect condition.
17. When using or replacing the mains cable or
extension cables, do not use types that differ
from the manufacturer's original parts.
18. The connectors on mains and extension cables
must be at least splash-proof.
19. The plug on the connecting cable must be in-
serted into a socket that accords with regula-
tions.
