The multi reactors can be used with different filter media such as activated carbon (i. e. Aqua Medic carbolit,
4 mm), phosphate and silicate remover (i. e. Aqua Medic antiphos FE), zeolite and many others.
The reactor should be placed in a clean area, free from heavy dirt. Otherwise, dirt could accumulate in between
the filter materials, and the filter sponge reducing the flow rate. In this case, open the reactor and clean the
sponge. It may be necessary to rinse the filter media as well.
In case the reactor is not completely filled with media, it causes it to swirl. In some cases, the so called fluidized
bed method is desired, but with filter media such as phosphate removers it will heavily cloud the water. This
kind of filter media should only be moved, slightly.
