7.3 Checking Loose Strap Function
A correctly adjusted loose strap switch ensures that the
straps stop lowering when they touch an obstruction.
1. With the ceiling hoist remaining on the track, check
there are no obstructions under either strap hook.
2. Place an obstruction under one of the strap hooks,
then press and hold the down button on the hand
control,
Expected result: When the strap hook touches the
obstruction, the strap stops lowering.
3. If the strap does NOT stop lowering, adjust the loose
strap switch. Refer to chapter 6.9 Adjusting the Strap
Switches, page 15.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the second strap.
7.4 Checking Emergency Lowering End
Stop Strap Function
The function described on this section is exclusively
applicable to newer product models.
A correctly set emergency lowering end stop strap switch
ensures the straps stop lowering when the end course is
reached, the movement is not reversed and the straps do
not start an upward motion.
1. Pull the red emergency lower cord.
Expected result: Both straps lower until the end of
their course and stop.
2. If the straps do NOT stop lowering, adjust the
emergency lowering end stop switch. Refer to chapter
6.9 Adjusting the Strap Switches, page 15.

7.5 Checking Twin Speed Functionality
1. With the hoist on the track and both straps free from
obstructions, press and hold the up button with no
load applied.
Note speed (40 mm/s) and sound of motor.
2. Whilst continuing to hold the up button, apply a load
of at least 10 kg (e.g. by pulling down on both straps).
Note the speed reduction (30 mm/s) and motor sound
change.
3. If there is no speed reduction, replace the twin speed
switch. Refer to chapter 6.10 Replacing the Twin
Speed Switch, page 18.
7.6 Taking Voltage Readings
