6.5 Replacing the battery
CAUTION!
Static electricity can damage the PCBs inside
the hoist.
Before working in the inside of the hoist:
– Pull the red emergency strap to turn off the
hoist.
– Remove the hoist from the track system.
(Refer to 6.1 Dismounting the ceiling hoist,
page 12)
– Remove the cover from the hoist. (Refer to
6.3 Removing the hoist cover, page 13)
– An anti-static mat must be used when
working inside the ceiling hoist.
1. Unplug the wires A.
2. Remove the battery pack B.
3. Insert a new battery pack.
Use only Invacare recommended batteries.
4. Plug in the wires A.
5. Re-assemble the hoist and reset the emergency stop.
6.6 Replacing the PCB (Printed Circuit
Board)
CAUTION!

the hoist.
Before working in the inside of the hoist:

1. Remove the battery. Refer to steps 1 and 2 in chapter
6.5 Replacing the battery, page 14.
2. Remove all plugs B, C, D, E and F from the PCB A.
3. Release the PCB A from the retaining holders by
gently pressing down the locking clips and levering the
PCB slightly away from the chassis plate.
4. Lift the PCB up to remove.
5. Place the new PCB into the chassis and press it slightly
against the chassis plate until the retaining holders
snap into place.
6. Connect the plugs B, C, D, E and F to the new PCB.
7. Re-insert battery, re-assemble the hoist and reset the
emergency stop.
6.7 Replacing the fuse
