1 Introduction

The Vicinion is an anti-static bar designed to neutralize electrostatically charged surfaces.
The anti-static bar is equipped with an integrated high-voltage power supply, emitters and a
status LED.
The Vicinion is supplied with a 24V DC power supply via an M8 connector.
The Vicinion is optimally used between a distance of 10 and 50 mm and is available in effective
lengths from 224 to 966 mm, in increments of 17.25 mm.

2 Description and operation

The 24 V DC supply voltage is converted into positive and negative high voltage in the anti-
static bar. The high voltage generates an electric field at the emitters of the anti-static bar, which
converts the air molecules around the emitters into positive and negative ions. When an
electrostatically charged material comes within working distance of the anti-static bar, ions from
the anti-static bar are exchanged with the charged material until the material is neutralized.
The status LED shows whether the anti-static bar is in operation and whether it is overloaded.
