Safety instructions – Use
• When charging batteries, it is imperative that you adhere to the charging
guidelines and safety instructions of the respective battery and vehicle
manufacturer.
• This charger is constructed to protection class 2 and must only be operated
with a properly installed, common domestic AC voltage supply of 220 - 240
V/AC (50/60 Hz). The mains socket must be near to the charger and easily
accessible.
• This charger must not be converted or modified (amongst other reasons, for
reasons of both safety and official approval) and it is not intended for
commercial use.
• This charger must not be touched with damp or wet hands.
• This charger is only approved for indoor operation in dry, closed rooms.
• Always check all the cables and connections for damage before commissioning.
• The charger must always be disconnected from the power supply (main socket)
before the connections to the battery are established or disconnected.
• This charger must always be disconnected from the power supply (mains
socket) after operation.
• Never pull on the power cord. Take hold of the mains plug instead.
• This charger and the battery have to be positioned so that the air can circulate.
Keep a minimum gap of 5 cm around the charger free. The charger and the
battery must not be covered and/or placed on a flammable underlay. During
operation, keep away all objects (especially flammable material) which may
become damaged or catch fire as a result of high temperatures. The charger and
the battery being charged must be set up stably so that they cannot topple over
or fall.
• Lay all cables in such a way that they do not cause a tripping hazard and they
cannot become damaged. Make sure that the charger and the cables are not
damaged or crushed by closing doors, covers on motor parts etc.
• Chargers and the connected rechargeable batteries must be supervised and
