Housing protection class
The housing of the charger has protection class IP 65 and is thus used to protect the
charging electronics integrated in the housing from dust and moisture. However, the
plug connectors and connections do not comply with this standard. The charger must
therefore only be operated indoors in dry, closed rooms.

16. Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting
If the charger does not function, check the following points:
• Is the socket working properly and is it supplying mains voltage?
• Is the connected battery faulty or deeply discharged? The LEDs „
+
" light up if this is the case.
• Has the charger been connected to the battery terminals with the correct
polarity? The „
polarity.
• The charging cable has a 10 A fuse. Is this fuse in the charging cable faulty? In
this case, replace the fuse and check the cabling.
Note: The housing of the charger becomes warm if it charges for a longer period with
a charging current of approx. 4000 mA (e.g. for larger rechargeable batteries). This is
not a device fault, but a normal technical feature.

17. Cleaning

Use a soft cloth and a little mild cleaning agent to clean the housing. Harsh solvents
such as thinner or petrol must not be used, nor must scouring agent, as these will
corrode the surface. Dispose of the cleaning wipes and excess cleaning agent in an
environmentally sound manner. For reasons of safety, the mains plug must always be
disconnected from the mains and the charging cable disconnected from the battery
before cleaning. Prevent cleaning agent from getting inside the device or the quick
connector!

18. Maintenance

Have maintenance and repair work carried out by an authorised specialist or specialist
motorcycle workshop only.
