In der Regel wird eine optimale Aussteuerung
erreicht, wenn das VU-Meter (30) bei durchschnitt-
lich lauten Passagen Werte im 0-dB-Bereich an-
zeigt (Anzeige 0 dB = 1 V). Ist der Ausgangspegel
jedoch für das nachfolgende Gerät zu hoch oder
zu niedrig, muss das Mastersignal entsprechend
niedriger oder höher ausgesteuert werden.
7.2.1 Einstellungen für den Effektweg „FX SEND"
Über den Ausspielweg „FX SEND" lassen sich die
Signale der Kanäle 1 – 7/8 herausführen, durch ein
Effektgerät schleifen und wieder in das Mischpult zu-
rückführen. Der Effektweg ist post-fader geschaltet.
1) Mit den Reglern „FX" (11) die Signale der Ein-
gangskanäle auf den Effektweg mischen.
2) Mit dem Regler „FX SEND" (28) den Pegel des
Ausgangssignals des Effektwegs, das über die
Buchse „FX SEND" (16) ausgekoppelt und dem
Effektgerät zugeführt wird, einstellen.
3) Über den Return-Eingang „FX RETURN" (23)
kann das vom Effektgerät bearbeitete Signal wie-
der in das Mischpult zurückgeführt werden. Es
wird – ohne Möglichkeit der Pegeleinstellung
über das Mischpult – vor dem Masterfader (33)
auf die Signalsumme gegeben.
7.2.2 Einstellungen für den Monitorweg
„AUX SEND"
Über den Ausspielweg „AUX SEND" lassen sich die
Signale der Kanäle 1 – 7/8 auskoppeln und einer
Monitoranlage für die Bühnenbeschallung zuführen.
Der Monitorweg ist pre-fader geschaltet.*
1) Mit den Reglern „AUX" (10) die Signale der Ein-
gangskanäle auf den Monitorweg mischen.
2) Mit dem Regler „AUX SEND" (26) den Pegel des
Monitor-Ausgangssignals, das über die Buchse
„AUX SEND" (15) ausgekoppelt und der Monitor-
anlage zugeführt wird, einstellen.
* Hinweis: Durch interne Modifikation des Mischpults kann der
Ausspielweg „AUX SEND" von pre-fader auf post-fader umge-
schaltet werden und damit nicht als Monitorweg sondern als
zusätzlicher Effektweg genutzt werden. Siehe dazu Kap. 8.
volume (display 0 dB = 1 V). However, if the out-
put level is too high or too low for the following
unit, the level of the master signal must be ad-
justed lower or higher correspondingly.

7.2.1 Adjustments for the effect way "FX SEND"

Via the Aux way "FX SEND" it is possible to route the
signals of the channels 1 to 7/8, to feed them
through an effect unit and to return them to the
mixer. The effect way is switched post-fader.
1) With the controls "FX" (11) add the signals of the
input channels to the effect way.
2) With the control "FX SEND" (28) adjust the level
of the output signal of the effect way which is
picked off via the jack "FX SEND" (16) and fed to
the effect unit.
3) Via the return input "FX RETURN" (23) the signal
processed by the effect unit can be returned to
the mixer. It is fed to the master signal ahead of
the master fader (33) – without the possibility of
adjusting the level via the mixer.
7.2.2 Adjustments for the monitor way
"AUX SEND"
Via the Aux way "AUX SEND" it is possible to pick off
the signals of channels 1 to 7/8 and to feed them to
a monitoring system for PA stage applications. The
monitor way is switched pre-fader.*
1) With the controls "AUX" (10) add the signals of
the input channels to the monitor way.
2) With the control "AUX SEND" (26) adjust the
level of the monitor output signal which is picked
off via the jack "AUX SEND" (15) and fed to the
monitoring system.
* Note: by internal modification of the mixer the Aux way "AUX
SEND" can be switched from pre-fader to post-fader and thus it
cannot be used as monitor way but as additional effect way. For
this see chapter 8.
7.3 Abhören über einen Kopfhörer und/oder
eine Monitoranlage in einem separaten
Abhörraum
Über einen Kopfhörer und/oder über eine an den
Buchsen „CTRL ROOM" (19) angeschlossene Moni-
toranlage in einem separaten Regieraum („control
room") lassen sich folgende Signale abhören:
a das Mastersignal an den Ausgängen „MAIN" (17)
und „REC" (21)
die linke Taste „2-TRACK"
te „AUX" (35) müssen ausgerastet sein.
b das Signal vom Tonaufnahmegerät am Eingang
„PLAY" (22)
die linke Taste „2-TRACK"
und die Taste „AUX" ausgerastet sein.
c das Ausgangssignal der Buchse „AUX SEND" (15)
die Taste „AUX" muss gedrückt sein.
(Die Stellung der linken Taste „2-TRACK"
hat in dem Fall keine Bedeutung.)
Die gewünschte Abhörlautstärke mit dem Regler
„CTRL ROOM/PHONES" (36) einstellen.
8 Modifikation der Ausspielweges
„AUX SEND"
Ab Werk ist der Ausspielweg „AUX SEND" als Pre-
Fader-Weg ausgelegt. Bei Bedarf kann der Signal-
abgriffspunkt für jeden der Eingangskanäle 1 – 7/8
getrennt auf post-fader umgestellt werden.
Vorsicht!
Für diese Modifikation muss das Gerät geöffnet
werden. Darum darf sie nur von einer qualifizierten
Fachkraft durchgeführt werden.
1) Das Gerät ausschalten [Schalter „POWER" (18)]
und unbedingt von der Stromversorgung trennen.
2) Die Bodenplatte des Geräts abschrauben.
3) Auf der Lötseite der Platine wird der Signalab-
griffspunkt für den Ausspielweg „AUX SEND" für
jeden Eingangskanal über jeweils eine Steck-
brücke („JP1") festgelegt. Durch Umstecken die-

Adjust the desired monitoring volume with the con-
trol "CTRL ROOM/PHONES" (36).
8 Modification of the Aux way
"AUX SEND"
In the factory the Aux way "AUX SEND" is designed
as pre-fader way. If required, the signal pick-off point
can be rearranged to post-fader separately for each
of the input channels 1 to 7/8.
Caution!
For this modification the unit must be opened.
Therefore, it must only be made by qualified special
personnel.
1) Switch off the unit [switch "POWER" (18)] and
disconnect it in any case from the power supply.
2) Screw off the bottom plate of the unit.
3) On the soldering side of the PCB the signal pick-
off point for the Aux way "AUX SEND" for each
input channel is fixed via one jumper each
("JP1"). By rearranging this jumper it is possible
to switch each channel to post-fader.
4) Screw the mixer together.
