Device Description
The pilot supply can be arranged in three different ways:
W
Internally via port 1 if main supply is via port 1.
W
Internally via port 5 if main supply is via port 5.
W
Externally via port X, which is always present on the end
plate.
The pilot control valves are always exhausted via channel R in
the end plate.
Risk of damage to the valve system.
Never close connection R. Closed exhaust outlets will lead to
air congestion and valve damage.
O
Ensure adequate ventilation through the ventilation port
and port R.
Different pressure zones can be arranged by means of blanking
plugs between the subbases.
The valves direct the air to the pneumatic drives. The connection
is made via ports 2 and 4 in the valve subbase.
Each valve has a manual override, 'turn and detent' (yellow
knob) or 'turn and release' (red knob) depending on the version.
In both cases it is activated by a turning motion. Do NOT press!
Solenoid control is achieved via the multipole plug or the bus
connection. A yellow LED on the valve indicates the current-
carrying solenoids. Valve assignments are indicated by the
numbers 14 and 12.
