3. MAINTENANCE
The tool is robust and requires very little daily maintenance.
Compliance with the following points, should help to maintain its optimum performance:
3.1) Thorough cleaning
Dust, sand and dirt are a danger for any hydraulic device.
Avoid putting the head on muddy or dusty ground. Any dirt particles may score the ram and crea-
te oil leaks.
Every day, after use, the head must be cleaned with a clean cloth, taking care to remove any residual
particles, especially around the moving parts.
Do not use hydrocarbons to clean the rubber parts.
3.2) Storage case
When not in use, the tool should be stored and transported
in its canvas bag, to prevent damage.
Canvas bag: type 030; Size 497x266x455 mm (19.6x10.5x17.9
in.). Weight 1,4 kg (3.1 lbs).
3.3) Flexible hose
Operate the tool with the hose uncoiled. Do not bend, twist, kink, knot or squash the hose.
Before operation, check the hose for any sign of damage.
When storing the tool in the trolley, coil the hose in large loops.
3.4) Routine maintenance
When the tool reaches the predetermined number of hours worked, it will signal that routine
maintenance is recommended.
The tool will continue to work however 15 sec. after use an alarm comprising 3 beeps
combined with illumination of the worklights will signal that its return to Cembre for
overhaul is recommended (see § 6).
4. BLADE REPLACEMENT
When changing blades, the battery must first be removed from the tool.
Incorrect blade positioning can damage the tool.
The blade may become worn or damaged through prolonged or improper use.
