Maintaining the cover
Using the insulating spa cover anytime the spa is not in use will
significantly reduce your operating costs, heat-up time and main-
tenance requirements.
To prolong the life of the cover, handle it with care and clean it
regularly. Below are the care instructions.
Standard vinyl cover
1. Use a garden hose to loosen debris and dirt.
2. Using a large sponge or a soft bristle brush, use diluted or
mild soap and scrub the vinyl top. Rinse clean and do not allow
soap to dry on cover. Do not use soap on the underside of the
cover.
3. Please check with your Jacuzzi Dealer for recommended cov-
er care and conditioning products. Condition using non-petro-
leum based conditioners to keep the vinyl supple and
threads/stitching from drying out. Do not use solvents, abrasive
cleaners or strong detergents. Do not use products that contain
silicone or alcohol.
ProEndure™ cover
1. Remove the dirt with a sponge or soft-bristled brush.
2. Wet the cover completely.
3. Use a sponge or soft-bristled brush to wipe the surface using
a neutral soap.
Rinse carefully and do not leave dry soap on the cover. Do not u-
se soap on the bottom side of the cover.
3. Check with your Jacuzzi® retailer what the best product to u-
se is to take care of your cover.
Do not use solvents, abrasive detergents or products containing
silicone or alcohol.
Further maintenance and care instructions:
1. Remove snow or any other material to avoid breaking the internal
structure of the cover.
2. Make sure that the cover belts are hooked on to avoid other objects
accidentally entering the hot tub.
3. Do not put heavy objects on the cover.
4. Do not walk, sit or stand on the cover.
5. Do not move the cover gripping the edges or using the belts.
6. Only use lifting systems certified/approved by the manufacturer.
7. Only use chemical products and detergents recommended by Jacuzzi.
8. Remember to always cover the hot tub when it is not in use. Kee-
ping the right level of water in the tub ensures correct operation and
efficient use of electricity.
9. Do not expose the hot tub to sunlight for long periods, as the UV
rays can damage the inside surface.
10. Take great care when removing the cover. Before removing it, make
sure that the belts have been unhooked.
Panel maintenance
The panels do not require any special maintenance. To clean them,
just wipe them with a clean cloth and a neutral detergent solution.
ATTENTION: do not direct jets of water against the panels, since
electro-mechanical parts are located behind them.
Top Rail Care And Maintenance
Parts should be cleaned with soap and water and a non-abra-
sive cleaning pad. More stubborn stains can be cleaned with a
water based cleaning solution or cleaners specified for vinyl sur-
faces. Solvent based or aggressive degreasing cleaners should
not be used.
Small scratches or nicks resulting in the lighter colored sub sur-
face being exposed can be made less obvious by using common
furniture repair markers. These are generally available in packs
with several wood tones from which a close match can be se-
lected to the color of the scratched part.
Stainless Steel Corners
To prolong the life of the stainless steel, handle it with care and
clean it regularly. Below are the care instructions.
1. A simply solution of warm water with a couple of drops of liquid
soap makes an excellent cleaner.
2. Dampen a soft cloth (such as a microfiber cloth) into the clean-
ing solution.
3. Following the grain of the stainless steel, wipe and clean the s-
teel.
4. Dry off the stainless steel using another clean, dry soft cloth.
Note: Never use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, scrubbing brushes,
or scrubbing pads on the stainless steel. Should scratches occur,
products are available at local home centers that can help fix them.
Winterizing
Your Jacuzzi
®
Premium spa is designed to automatically protect
itself against freezing when operating properly.
uring periods of severe freezing temperatures, you should
D
check periodically to be certain that the electrical supply to the s-
pa has not been interrupted.
In very cold conditions (below 0 °C), choose F3 "standard" filte-
ring/heating mode and set the recirculation pump to continuous
mode (see the relevant chapter).
During periods when the hot tub is not being used, where there
is a prolonged power outage or when temperatures are very low,
remove all of the water in the hot tub so as to avoid any dama-
ge caused by the water.
For expert winterization of your spa, contact your authorized
dealer.
In emergency situations, damage can be minimized by taking the
following steps:
- Disconnect the spa from the electric mains.
- Follow the directions for draining the spa.
- Remove the water from the recessed seating areas and bottom.
When the water level stops falling, use a suitable implement to
remove the water remaining in the bottom, for example, suck it
up using a hoover/liquid aspirator.
