Determination of Enzyme Activity
The enzyme activity is a measurement of the number of substrate molecules, which converts an enzyme per

second. The H ions produced during the reaction are thereby titrated with the NaOH solution. Then the slope
formula is selected to calculate the slope in ml/s (Fig. 172).

The evaluation window (Fig. 176) can be used to calculate the slope by entering the start time and duration (Time
period) (Fig. 173 and Fig. 174).

The start time and the time period are set automatically during parameterization of the total duration.
It is possible to enter a different start time and time period (Fig. 175). However, no time period > can be entered
as the total time. If it is necessary to increase the Start time, the Time period must also be changed.
