5. Tighten the miter locks (2).
6. Using a 4mm hex key, loosen the two screws securing the fence (10) to the base.
7. Place a square against the fence (10) and alongside the blade.
8. Adjust the fence (10) until it is square with the blade.
9. Tighten the screws securing the fence (10).
10. Loosen the Phillips head screw holding the pointer of the miter scale (7) and adjust it so that it
accurately indicates the zero position on the miter scale.
11. Retighten the screw securing the miter scale pointer.
13. MOUNTING HOLES
To ensure that the mitre saw is always stable and secure.Before use,the saw can be fixed to a
firm,level surface with the 4 mounting bolts (Not supplied).
Four holes are provided in the base of the saw to enable it to be fixed to a bench, or other
supporting surface.
To mount the saw,proceed as follows:
1) Locate and mark where the saw is to be mounted.
2) Drill 4 holes through the surface.
3) Place the miter saw on the surface aligning holes in base with holes drilled in the surface.Install
bolts,washers and hex nuts.
14. Workpiece clamp
When cutting workpiece,the boards should always be clamped with a vertical clamp (provided).
15. CHANGING A BLADE (fig 1)
1. Make sure that the electrical plug is removed from the power supply.
2. Push down on the handle (14) and pull the Release knob (12) to disengage the saw arm(11).
3. Raise the saw arm (11) to its highest position.
4. Press the spindle lock button (21). Rotate the blade until the spindle locks
5. Use the 6 mm hex key provided to loosen and remove the blade bolt, flat wahser and outer
blade flange. (Loosen in a clockwise direction as the blade screw has a left hand thread).
6. Upward the lower blade guard(6) to the limit, then press the handle and upward the lower
blade guard to the highest point at the same time, then remove the blade.
7. Wipe a drop of oil onto the inner blade flange and the outer blade flange where they contact
the blade.
8. Match the arrow on the blade with the arrow on the upper blade guard(4). Make sure that the
blade teeth are pointing downward.
9. Upward the lower blade guard(6) to the limit, then press the handle , Fit the new blade onto
the spindle taking care that the inner blade flange sits behind the blade.
