DESCRIPTION
The DBT 710 and PBT 720 battery testers are compatible with a comprehensive selection of 6/12 V lead-acid batteries,
ranging from 10 to 2000 CCA. They are suitable for ordinary lead batteries with liquid electrolyte, AGM flat plate, AGM
spiral, GEL and EFB, and for use in vehicles like boats, cars and motorbikes.
They assess the overall functionality of the battery through 3 tests:
- 6/12 V Battery test
- 6/12 V Start test
- 6/12/24 V Alternator test
- The fully insulated crocodile clips ensure maximum electrical safety for spark-free operation, and protection against
polarity reversal.
- These easy-to-use testers provide accurate results in a matter of seconds. They are able to directly identify defective
batteries and test ones that are losing power (up to 3.0 V) without the need for prior charging.
- The PBT 720 is fitted with a thermal printer as standard. The results of the last test carried out can be printed off
directly, for clear and precise traceability of the tests conducted.

is to analyse the state of health of the battery to calculate its actual cold start capacity and its state of
deterioration. This provides reliable test evidence when servicing the vehicle. It can serve as a pre-
ventive warning for the user to replace the battery.
is used to test and analyse engine starting. It checks the actual starting current required and the
starting voltage of the motor, to determine whether it is working properly or not. Malfunctions during
start-up can cause an increase in the torque applied during starting; or rotor friction, which can cause
general motor wear.
is to check and analyse the charging system. It determines whether the alternator output voltage is
normal or not. Any anomaly can cause the battery to be over-charged or under-charged, which can
lead to damage quite quickly, and considerably shorten the lifespan of the battery and the electrical
devices that depend on it (ECUs, consumers, etc.).
