2. Clean the battery and battery charger with a dry
cloth. Keep the battery guide tracks clean.
3. Make sure that the terminals on the battery and the
battery charger are clean before the battery is put in
the battery charger or the product.
To examine and replace the trimmer
head
1. Do a check of the trimmer head for damages and
cracks.
2. Turn the output shaft until the hole in the drive disc
aligns with the hole in the gear housing.

3. Install the combination tool in the hole to lock the
shaft.
4. Turn the trimmer head counterclockwise.

5. Replace the trimmer head.
6. Assemble the trimmer head. Refer to
the trimmer head on page 15 .
Troubleshooting
Possible solution
Charge the battery.
The cutting attachment cannot move freely.
Release the cutting attachment.
Let the product become cool.
Release the power trigger and push the start
button.
Charge the battery.
Speak to your service dealer.
Solution
Remove the battery from the charger and install the bat-
tery in the battery charger again.
Clean the battery connectors.
Use the battery charger in temperatures between 0 °C –
+35 °C.
Replace the battery.
