Cleaning and maintenance

disconnect the mains plug (discon-
nect the machine from its power sup-
ply) before commencing work on the
machine.
Cleaning and maintenance overview
Before each use

Check saw blade for
the correct fit and fas-
tening.
Check saw blade
guard for chips. Re-
move chips if neces-

distance from the saw
blade to the riving
knife is 3 to 5 mm; ad-
just if necessary.

Clean ventilation slits
of the motor of dust.
Cleaning the device
DANGER! Danger of electric 
shock! Never spray the device with
water or subject it to water.
To clean, never use cleansers or sol-
vents. This can cause irreparable
damage to the device. The plastic
parts can be eaten away by the chem-
icals.
Careful handling and regular cleaning ensure
that the device will remain functional and
powerful for a long time.
• Remove dirt with a brush.
• Wipe down the device with a slightly
damp cloth.
• Clean ventilation slits and keep them free
of dust.

Blow the chips out
with compressed air

Maintaining the device
DANGER! Risk of injury! Before all
maintenance work on the device,
always disconnect the mains plug
(de-energise the device).
Replacing the bench inlay
WARNING! Risk of injury! In the
event of wear or damage, the bench
inlay must be replaced.

– Remove the upper saw blade protector.
– Remove the cross-headed screw (17).
– Replace work bench inlay (18).
– Tighten the cross-headed screw (17).
– Mount the upper saw blade protector.
Changing the saw blade
DANGER! Risk of injury! Shortly
after sawing, the saw blade can be
very hot. Let a hot saw blade cool
down. Never clean a hot saw blade
with flammable liquids.
A standing saw blade can cause inju-
ries! Wear gloves when changing the
saw blade.
WARNING! Risk of injury! Shortly
after sawing, the saw blade may be
very hot. Allow a hot blade to cool
down. Never clean a hot saw blade
with flammable liquids. A still saw
blade can cause injury!
– Use gloves to change the saw blade.
Removing the saw blade
When changing the saw blade, the width of
the groove cut of the saw blade shall not be
less and the thickness of the body of the saw
blade shall not be more than the thickness of
the splitting wedge.

– Loosen the screws (19) on both sides and
remove the lower saw blade cover (12).
– Apply the enclosed spanner (large) to the
hexagonal nut (20).
– Use the enclosed spanner (small) to pre-
vent the motor shaft (21) from turning.
– Undo the hexagonal nut (20) using the
enclosed spanner (large) and rotating
anti-clockwise.
– Remove exterior flange (22).
