OPERATION MANUAL AND INSTRUCTIONS
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
NB: The universal injector removal vibration tool should be used with a support complete with tie rod (parts not included in the set),
directly connected to the injector (see photo), so that a tractive force can act on it.
The universal injector removal vibration tool has been designed for use with Beta's kit 1462/KI for removing injectors from diesel
engines.
Example of tool assembly:
• Mount the support/tie rod to the injector to remove.
• Select suitable vices, according to dimensions (in-line or inclined).
• Select the setscrews in a suitable length, according to the diameter of the tie rod mounted to the injector.
• Connect the tool to the tie rod, keeping a distance of a few centimetres from the injector (see photo).
• Tighten the setscrews.
• Connect the air intake to the tool connector.
• NB: Make sure not to exceed a pressure of 6.3 bars, as measured at the tool inlet. Feed the UNIVERSAL INJECTOR REMOVAL
VIBRATION TOOL with clean, condensate-free air.
• Excessively high pressure or humidity in supply air results in shorter life for the mechanical parts and may damage the tool.
• Adjust vibration intensity by means of the knurled wheel of the pressure regulator.
• The tool acts directly on the tie rod, which is coupled with the injector, through vibrations and pulses.
• Leave the tool to work on corrosion on its own, at intervals of 15 or 30 minutes.
• As such, coking and corrosion caused by contact are broken down, and the injector can be removed.
• NB: While the tool is working, the injector inlet should be lubricated with some solvent (for injectors).
• Increase the tractive forces of the tie rod cautiously, if need be, by tightening its nuts or increasing vibration intensity.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance and repair jobs must be carried out by trained personnel. For such jobs, you can contact Beta Utensili S.p.A.'s repair
centre through your Beta dealer.
