MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
To achieve optimal performance and a long machine
life, we recommend:
Cleaning the outer casing of the appliance should
always be done with a cloth dampened in soapy
water. Do not use solvents or any other flammable
product.
Check from time to time the filling level of the filter-
bag. Do not wait for the Obstruction / Filter Full
detection device to activate.
Periodically proceed to replace the filters. The
cartridge filter has an estimated life of about
1500/2000 operating hours. Always use original
MESTRA spare parts.
Carry out the filter change operations very carefully,
trying to dirty the inside of the suction chamber as
little as possible. Make sure that the filter-bag is well
seated in the suction nozzle (A) and that it rests on
the lower tray of the suction chamber.
In the event of an overload in a Schuko socket (4) the
thermal switch (5) will actuate. If this circumstance
occurs, wait a few seconds and reset it by pressing its
button.
Check that the suction tubes in your laboratory
installation do not have leaks due to cracks, breaks,
or poor connections.
It is not convenient for the suction motor for the
machine to work continuously for long periods of
time (over 2 hours). In any case, the machine has a
protection device against this eventuality.
PRECAUTIONS
Before connecting the appliance, make sure that it is
a 230 V, 50/60 Hz socket with earth.
Do not connect micromotors or other devices with a
consumption greater than 400 W to a Schuko socket.
Do not allow children or unqualified personnel to
handle the appliance.
Choose a rigid and well-leveled surface for the
location of the suction unit.
Do not open the top cover of the suction unit when
the machine is running.
During the tasks of cleaning the machine and
replacing filters, brushes or motor, disconnect it from
the network.
