Removal
GB
If the product must be disas
sembled, check the weight and stability of the various components as they are demounted (consult chapter 4 "Storage and handling").
Changing the oil in the gearbox
1) remove the drain plug and allow the oil to flow into a receptacle;
2) pour in the right quantity and type of new oil (consult the "Pumps table" in chapter 10 "Technical data");
3) use the oil dipstick to check that the quantity is correct;
4) strictly comply with the disposal rules and regulations in relation to the old oil in the receptacle, consigning it to an authorized disposal
organization (use services of the COBAT Consortia in Italy).
Replacing the packing gland
1) remove the packing adjuster screws and allow the packing to slide;
2) replace the seal material;
3) ATTENTION
adjust the gland packing by working evenly on both nuts in order to ensure a slight drip during operation;
4) restore the initial conditions.

Spare parts
Only use genuine Caprari spare parts. Failing this, all forms of guarantee and the manufacturer's responsibility in merit shall become void.
The following data should be given when spare parts are ordered from Caprari S.p.A. or one of its Authorized After-Sales Centers:
1 - the complete code of the product;
2 - the data code and/or serial number and/or job number when applicable;
3 - the denomination and reference number of the part as indicated in the spare parts catalogue (available from authorized after-sales service
centres) or in the typical sections depicted in this manual;
4 - the required number of spare parts.
6.5
Inactivity
If the pump remains inactive in the system, make sure that the rotor is free to turn and that the hydraulics are primed before starting.
If the pump and pipes operate in a fixed system and cannot be protected against freezing, they must be completely emptied during periods at a
standstill.
In relation to the cooling circuit of the oil housing when installed, detach the longer pipe from the hydraulic part, taking care to prevent it from being
damaged, and, after having connected it to a transparent plastic tube about 1 m in length, set it in a vertical position and fill it with antifreeze fluid.
Wait a few minutes to allow the pipes of the cooling system to fill and then fit the previously detached pipe back in place.
Consult chapter 4 "Storage and handling" for further instructions.

DISPOSAL AND DISMANTLING
When dismantling the product, the technician must proceed with the relative phases in strict compliance with the local rules and regulations
governing such activity.
End-of-life product disposal.
INFORMATION TO USERS pursuant to Article 14 of the DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 4
July 2012 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the electrical and/or electronic equipment (EEE) or on its package indicates that the product
must be collected separately at the end of its service life and not disposed of with other mixed municipal waste.
DOMESTIC EEE
Please contact your municipality, or local authority, for all the information regarding the locally available separate collection systems. The
retailer of the new equipment has the obligation to take back the old one upon the purchase of an equipment of equivalent type, in order to start the
correct recycling/disposal cycle. In Italy, domestic EEE are electric pumps with single-phase motor. This classification must be verified in the other
European nations.
PROFESSIONAL EEE
The separate collection of this equipment after its useful life is organised and managed by the manufacturer. Therefore, any user that may want to
dispose of this equipment can either contact the manufacturer and follow the system implemented to separately collect the equipment at the end
of its useful life, or autonomously select an authorised waste management chain. In any case, the user must respect the take-back conditions laid
down by the Directive 2012/19/EU.
Illegal disposal of the product by the user shall be subject to the application of the sanctions provided for by law.
8
WARRANTY
The general conditions of sale governing all products manufactured by Caprari S.p.A. are also valid for the product in question.
In particular, remember that one of the essential conditions for recognition of the warranty is compliance with all the individual instructions given
in the enclosed documentation and the best hydraulic and electrotechnical provisions, fundamental condition to ensure regular operation of the
product. Malfunction caused by wear and/or corrosion is not covered by the warranty.
To prevent the warranty from becoming void, the product must first be examined by our technicians or by technicians from our Authorized After-
Sales Service Centres.
Failure to comply with the instructions in the documentation supplied with the product shall void all forms of guarantee and shall relieve the
manufacturer from all responsibility in merit.
