Use this grinder only as in-
tended. Unintended use may
result in personal injury and property damage .
Do not use Type 11 abrasive
(cup) wheels with this tool.
This tool is not designed for use with Type 11
(cup) abrasive grinding wheels .
Disconnect the plug from
the power source before
making any adjustments, changing accesso-
ries, or storing power tools. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the
power tool accidentally .
A Type B (Type 27) guard
must be used with all grind-
ing wheels, bonded body sanding flap discs,
wire brushes and wheels. The tool may be
used without a guard only when sanding with
conventional sanding discs .
A Type 1A/41A guard must
be used for all cutting op-
erations.
Always use Type A (1A/41)
cutting wheel guard for cut-
ting.
Do not use Type 1 abrasive
wheels
straight/die grinding. This tool is not designed
for use with Type 1 abrasive straight/die grind-
ing wheels .
The rated speed of the ac-
cessory must be at least
equal to the maximum speed marked on the
power tool. Accessories running faster than
their rated speed can break and fly apart.
Wheel guard may not be
used for most sanding op-
erations. Always reinstall wheel guard when
converting back to grinding operations .
Do not use the quick-clamp-
ing nut with backing pad for
sanding accessories.
Always use Type B (Type
27) grinding wheel guard
with wire wheels (brushes). Not using wheel
guard with wire wheels may cause injury .
A Type B (Type 27) grinding
wheel guard may not be
used for all tool operations. Do not discard
guard when not in use . Always reinstall wheel

guard when converting back to grinding opera-

Dust Extraction Attachment
is not a guard, do not use
with bonded abrasive wheels. Dust extraction
attachment may not protect operator in the
event of a wheel burst .
Always use Type A (1A/41)
cutting wheel guard for cut-
ting. Cutting with a Type B (Type 27) wheel
guard may not provide the operator sufficient
protection in the event of a wheel burst .
When cutting never pull the
tool backward since blade
will climb out of the material and KICKBACK
will occur.
Do not use angle grinder for
polishing painted surfaces
or plastics. Using angle grinders for such ap-
plications may damage materials and surfaces .
To avoid accidents, always
disconnect the tool and/or
charger from the power supply before servic-
ing or cleaning.

If an extension cord is nec-
essary, a cord with ade-

be used. This will prevent excessive voltage
drop, loss of power or overheating . Grounded
tools must use 3-wire extension cords that have
3-prong plugs and receptacles .

sories not specified for use with the tool de-
scribed in this manual may result in damage to
