Installing Masonry Type F (1A/41)
Cutting Guard with Footplate
(Fig. 11, Fig. 12, Fig. 13)
1 . Disconnect tool from power source .
2 . Rotate the gearbox as shown in Fig . 11 and
Fig . 12 .
3 . Unscrew and remove the Vibration Control
Side Handle 2 .
4 . Slide the Masonry Cutting Guard on the
Guard Mounting Flange .
5 . Rotate the Masonry Cutting Guard until the
stability bracket and hole for the side handle
are aligned .
6 . Screw in the Vibration Control Side Handle
2 to secure the stability bracket between
the tool housing and the Vibration Control
Side Handle 2 .
7 . Adjust the Masonry Cutting Guard to desired
depth of cut .
TO REMOVE: Reverse procedure .
Installing a Dry Diamond Wheel
Follow all instructions provided with the ma-
sonry Type F (1A/41) cutting guard to prepare
it for installation of compatible accessories and
operation .
To Install Dry Diamond Wheel
(Fig. 13)
1 . Place Backing Flange 5 on the Spindle 4 .
Make sure the Backing Flange 5 locks into
the base of the Spindle 4, fig. 13.
2 . Place the Dry Diamond Wheel over the
Spindle 4 and align the arbor hole with the
shoulder of the Backing Flange 5 .
3 . Thread on the Lock Nut 11 and tighten with
a lock nut wrench, while holding the Spin-
dle Lock 7 .
TO REMOVE: Reverse procedure .
