Getting started
Thank you for purchasing a SentrySafe Product. SentrySafe is the world leader in
fire/water resistant and security storage. This guide describes how to easily set-up
the product.

Instructions
The SentrySafe Security Safe can be operated with (1) a magnetic stripped card
(example: major credit card), (2) a personal four digit code, or (3) the master
override key provided with the unit.
The method used to operate (lock and unlock) the safe must be the same
unless using a master override key to unlock safe.
Registration:
To be eligible for warranty coverage, the original purchaser must register
the product online at www.sentrysafe.com or complete and return the
enclosed registration card to SentrySafe

Installing the Batteries

With the door open, remove the battery compartment cover located on

the inside of the door by sliding the cover from right to left.
Install four (4) AA size batteries (not provided). Note the polarity (+/-)

markings in the battery compartment to ensure proper installation.
Reinstall the battery compartment cover.

Operating Safe with a Magnetic

Stripped Card
The card reader in the safe can be operated with a magnetic stripped card (i.e.
most major credit cards).
To lock the door:
Push and hold the door in the closed position.

Press "B" on the keypad. The display will show "CARD".

Swipe the card from right to left.

The display will show "CLOSE", immediately followed by "CLOSED"

indicating that the bolts are extended and the door is locked.
To unlock the door:
Press "B" on the keypad.

The display will show "CARD".

Swipe the card from right to left.

The display will show "OPEN", immediately followed by "OPENED"
4
indicating that the bolts are retracted into the door.
The spring-loading feature of the safe will enable the door to

open automatically.
IMPORTANT
The card must be swiped firmly and evenly from right to left.
"AGAIN" If the card is swiped from left to right or at a pace that is
too fast or too slow, the reader will display "AGAIN" for
two seconds, then "CARD" indicating that the card must be
swiped again.
"E-CARD" The card used to access the safe must be the same as the
card used to close the safe. Otherwise, the display will
show "E-CARD".
