Disassembly of OEM Tail Unit:
-
Disconnect the wiring connectors going to the OEM Tail Unit located under the passenger seat.
Remove the OEM tail unit via the four bolts underneath the passenger seat.

Un-screw all visible bolts on the OEM Tail Unit then remove the OEM indicators for later use.

Also remove the sub-loom for use with the R&G tail tidy.
Re-assemble the OEM Tail unit without the indicators and store away safely.

1390 Tail Tidy Assembly:
-
Use the supplied heat shrink to cover the number plate light wiring and indicator wiring if
necessary.
Attach the OEM indicators and supplied number plate light (Item 12) with connector to the R&G
-
licence plate bracket (Item 2)
Attach the support bracket (Item 1) to the licence plate bracket using 2x of the supplied
-
countersunk bolts (Item 6), washers (Item 4) and Nyloc nuts (Item 8) in the upper mounts
only.

Pass the number plate light wiring through the central gap, the indicator cables through the holes
on each side of the main bracket.
-
Offer up the tail tidy to the motorcycle and pass the connectors through the hole in the undertray.
Then pass 2x of the supplied button head bolts (Item 7) with washers (Item 5) through the
-
rearward holes in the main bracket then through the motorcycles undertray.

Fully tighten the now fitted, 2x countersunk bolts and nuts, and the 2x M6 button heads
-
Connect the indicator and number plate light connectors to the original sub loom.
Test the indicators and number plate light function correctly before moving forwards with the
-
Offer up the cover plate (Item 3) to the assembly, ensuring not to pinch/capture any of the sub
loom and pass the remaining 2x countersunk bolts through the licence plate & main mounting
brackets, then apply the washers and nuts to the exposed thread on the inside of the assembly.
