CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL CONTACT TO THE CONTROL UNIT:
On the J17 "TESTOM" terminal of the control unit there is a contact for the following functions:
A) If the contact is open, no action on the unit.
B) If the contact is closed for at least 30 seconds, filter washing starts automatically. The contact may
come from a differential pressure gauge, a differential pressure switch or any other device which provides
a dry contact.
CONNECTING THE CONTROL UNIT TO THE MAIN SUPPLY:
The transformer's jack plug connects to the right side of the terminal block in the "power supply port" location
provided.
The primary side of the transformer is provided with a standard electrical plug and should be connected to the
230 Volt 50 Hz mains supply.
Also check for the presence of the strap on the J5 terminal for correct operation
Caution: The filter control unit switches on as soon as the unit is plugged in.
Washing processes can be programmed in calendar mode, with the choice of washing process time and
frequency in days.
Non-programmed washing can also be started manually by pressing the "wash" button for around 20 seconds.
It is also possible to carry out an automatic washing cycle when the filter becomes clogged up by means of
a contact differential pressure gauge. In this case, a timed washing process is always programmed on fixed days
and times, while a washing process triggered by an excessive pressure loss (set point) can start at any time.
PROGRAMMING BASICS
The control unit offers the following:
•
Interval between two washing cycles or the frequency in days;
•
Time for washing process;
•
Duration of each of the washing and rinsing phases.
