IMPORTANT
The active load "Manganic sand" is based on Manganese dioxide.
This product is classified as harmful by ingestion and inhalation. The necessary protective measures must
therefore be taken when loading,
minimally gloves, goggles, mask with P3 filter (single use or reusable).
Remove affected clothing and wash exposed skin with mild soap and water, then rinse with warm water.
An SDS is available on request from our branches. To limit dust dispersion, put water in the filter body
when loading. Once the load is in place, backwash the load at a high flow rate for approximately 30 minutes
(until the fine particles visible to the naked eye are removed).
FILTER BODY
The composite body is made up of a polyethylene pouch reinforced with fibreglass and epoxy resin.
The upper part of the columns have a 4" (ND100) threaded connection designed to receive the hydraulic head
with the upper strainer. Before the filter is loaded, the strainers must be checked to avoid any risk of losing
filter medium afterwards. It is also recommended to check the seal with water from the bottom plug, if any.
INSTALLATION, LOADING AND HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
Start by screwing the hydraulic head with the upper strainer onto the body, verifying the position of the central
dip tube. The filter is then installed in its intended location, check its environment and the accessibility of the
operational parts.
Only after this is it possible to put the filtering medium inside the body, loading the different layers as described
above. The use of a funnel is recommended. Do not forget to close off the end of the dip tube. Levelling between
each layer is recommended.
Before installing the BWT PURITY PRO XL filter, 5 hydraulic connections must be made.
