- In the genital area.
- Over the carotid sinus nerves, particularly in patients with
a known sensitivity to the carotid sinus reflex.
- Over the neck, mouth or eyes. Severe spasm of muscles
may occur and the contractions may be strong enough
to close the airway or cause difficulty breathing.
- Over the thoracic area (or through the chest) in that the
introduction of electrical current into the heart may cause
cardiac arrhythmias.
- Over swollen, infected, or inflamed areas or skin
eruptions, e.g., phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varicose
veins.
- Over or near cancerous lesions.
- On acutely or chronically diseased (injured or irritated)
skin (e.g. inflamed skin whether painful or not, reddened
skin, rashes, e.g. allergies, burns, bruises, swellings, both
open and healing wounds, and post-operative scars
where the healing process could be affected).
• In rare instances, skin irritation in the region of the
electrodes may occur.
• Never use the device while you bathe or shower. Do not
store or keep the device where it can fall into a bathtub
or sink.
• Do not use after consuming alcohol.
• Do not use in the case of acute or chronic diseases of the
gastrointestinal tract.
• Do not use if you are connected to a high-frequency
surgical device.
• Do not use the device close to the heart.
The stimulation electrodes must not be
placed on any part of the front ribcage
(where the ribs and breastbone are located),
especially not on the two large pectorals.
This can increase the risk of ventricular fibrillation and
induce cardiac arrest.
• When TENS/EMS mode used with heat mode
simultaneously, which may affect the sensation of pain,
we advise to regularly inspect the skin during using.
• The device is only for private use and is not intended for
medical or commercial purposes.
• If in doubt, consult your doctor.
• The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages caused
through improper or wrong use.
CAUTION:
• Always pull firmly on the buckle of the electrode to remove
the gel pad from the skin to prevent injuries in the unusual
case of highly sensitive skin.
• Use this product only with the genuine connection cable
and self-adhesive electrode gel pads (45 mm x 45 mm,
single size) which come with the product. However,
these accessories can be purchased separately from the
manufacturer afterward.
• Shut the device off after every use and before cleaning.
• Only use digital EMS/TENS units:
- On people
- For the purpose for which it was developed and in the
manner specified. Any improper use can be hazardous.
- With the original accessories supplied, which can be
re-ordered. Failure to do so invalidates the warranty.
- For external use
• Keep the device away from heat sources (heating devices
such as driers or ovens).
• Never use the device near microwave ovens or microwave
devices (e.g. cell phones) as they can affect operation.
