■ The hedge trimmer may start unintentionally if
the battery is left in place during cleaning,
maintenance or repair operations. This may
result in serious injury to people and damage
to property.
► Remove the battery.
■ Sharp cleaning agents, cleaning with a water
jet or pointed objects can damage the hedge
trimmer, the cutting blades or the battery. If
the hedge trimmer, cutting blades or battery
are not cleaned correctly, components may no
longer function properly or safety devices may
be rendered inoperative. People may be seri‐
ously injured.
