CONNECTING THE POLE SAW
ATTACHMENT TO THE POWER
HEAD PH0040 (Fig . 4a & 4b)
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Remove the end cap from the attachment
shaft and store it in a safe place for future
use.
3. Loosen the wing knob on the power-head
shaft.
4. The power head has two grooves on the
coupler, ONLY the groove 1 is used to
connect the attachment.
WARNING
2 . This may cause personal injury during
operation.
5. Align the spring-loaded pin on the
attachment shaft with the groove 1 on the
coupler and push the attachment shaft into
the power head shaft until the pin pops
out of the groove and you hear an audible
"click" sound at the same time.
6. Pull the attachment shaft to verify that it is
securely locked into the coupler.
7. Tighten the wing knob securely.
REMOVING THE ATTACHMENT

1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Loosen the wing knob.
3. Press down the spring-loaded pin and pull
the attachment shaft out of the coupler.
4. Place the end cap on the tip of the
attachment shaft to protect the interior shaft
from dirt and moisture.
