4.4 After use
1. Switch off the In-Mask Display and take it out of the full face mask.
2. Clean the In-Mask Display (see "Cleaning the In-Mask Display", page 28).
3. Check whether the In-Mask Display is damaged. If any damage is detected,
send the In-Mask Display to Dräger for repair.
4. Recharge the battery in the In-Mask Display.
Dräger recommends keeping the In-Mask Display in the charging cradle
so that the rechargeable battery will be regularly recharged.

Troubleshooting
Error
The In-Mask Display
cannot be switched on.
LED in the In-Mask Dis-
play is rapidly flashing
red.
Only LED 1 on the
charging cradle is lit
when an In-Mask Display
is inserted (error during
charging process).
LEDs on the charging
cradle flash red (error
during charging process).
Dräger FPS IMD
Cause
Battery is discharged.
Connection error
between the In-Mask
Display and battery pack.
Overheating fault in the
In-Mask Display and pos-
sibly in the thermal imag-
ing camera.
The In-Mask Display is
not seated correctly in
the charging cradle.
Charging pins on the In-
Mask Display and/or in
the charging cradle are
dirty.
Charging pins on the In-
Mask Display and/or in
the charging cradle are
damaged.
There are too many
charging cradles linked
together.
The battery can no lon-
ger be charged.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Recharge the battery.
Unscrew the battery pack
and screw in again.
Take the In-Mask Dis-
play and the thermal
imaging camera out of
operation and allow them
to cool down.
Remove any foreign
objects between the In-
Mask Display and the
charging cradle.
Clean the charging pins.
If the charging pins are
defective, send the In-
Mask Display and the
charging cradle to
Dräger.
Link a maximum of
5 charging cradles
together.
Replace the battery.
