MAINTENANCE
Your bike requires regular maintenance and inspections adapted to your use. Periodic checks must be carried out by qualified, experienced mechanics.
WARNING, like any mechanical component, a cycle undergoes high stress and wears out. The different materials and components can react differently to wear or fatigue.
If a component's expected life span is exceeded, it may break suddenly, thus risking injury to the cyclist. Cracks, chips and discolouring in high-stress areas indicate that
the component has exceeded its lifespan and should be replaced. To assess this, have parts that wear (including the rims, brakes, tyres, steering and transmission of your
bicycle) regularly checked, maintained and adjusted by a qualified, experienced mechanic. When replacing components, you must use genuine spare parts to ensure the
safety and reliability of the bike.
!
When performing bike maintenance, ensure there is
adequate lighting.
All cleaning, electrical or mechanical maintenance
!
operations must be carried out without power. If
the battery is removable, remove it. Maintenance
operations specific to the bike's electric system
must be performed by trained, qualified staff. If the
chain comes off, shutdown the power before any
intervention.
For more information on use, maintenance, after-sales services or if you have any questions, visit DECATHLON's support website (www.support.decathlon.com) or visit a
DECATHLON store.
BRAKES:
• Brake pads wear out with the different braking operations performed. Braking performance decreases over time, so you need to check your brakes regularly and replace
them if necessary (lining < 1mm). This operation must be performed by a qualified mechanic. A break-in time is required once new pads are installed.
• The brake adjustment should be checked regularly. When replacing the friction components of the braking system (brake blocks, brake pads), the use of original parts
guarantees maintenance of the performance and safety of your bike. This operation must be performed by a qualified mechanic.
TRANSMISSION:
• Oil the chain regularly.
• Brush the sprockets and chainrings.
• To clean the transmission components, use special transmission oil.
• You need to lubricate components for them to work properly, ensure their optimal lifespan and avoid component corrosion.
• When maintaining the gears, be careful not to pinch your fingers between the sprockets and the chain.
• If changing an item, always make sure you exchange it with original parts.
• Be sure to protect the brake discs and pads before servicing your chain. Otherwise, oil may accumulate on the discs and pads and reduce braking performance. If oil has
been in contact with the pads, change them immediately before using the bicycle.
WHEELS:
• If the wheels are tubular, refer to the manufacturer's instructions for gluing the tubulars to the rim.
• Regularly check the wheels, especially the rims (excessive wear, deformation, dents and cracks). Feel free to contact a Decathlon workshop for a wheel analysis and part
replacement if necessary.
• Check the tyres regularly for pressure, cuts, cracks or pinching. Replace the tyre if necessary. Install tyres in the direction indicated on the sidewall, according to the direction
of rotation arrow. Inflate tyres to the correct pressure to avoid punctures. The pressure is always indicated on the side of the tyre and/or rim by the manufacturer. If the
pressure is indicated on both the rim and the tyre, inflate the tyres with the maximum pressure indicated on the rim independently of the maximum pressure indicated on the
tyre. The rims may have a different and lower maximum pressure than the tyres.
• When changing tyres, pedals or the crank on your bicycle, the distance between the pedal axle and the wheel may change. Make sure you respect the original characteristics
of your bike to avoid any problems.
ACCESSORIES :
• Accessories such as mudguards, kickstands, bottle holders, frame locks, lighting (list of items to choose from depending on the bike) are subject to numerous vibrations in
use.
• Remember to regularly check the fixing screws and tighten them if necessary following the tightening recommendations mentioned in the TORQUE SETTINGS section of
this manual.

The frame, forks and all components must be
checked regularly by our Decathlon after-sales
service. Since gear adjustment is tricky, contact
one of our qualified technicians. And always refer
to the manufacturer's recommendations. If the
bike suers a fall, check the electric components.
If cable, button or frame is physically damaged,
go to a DECATHLON workshop for an electric
test.
Do not clean the bike using a high pressure
water jet. Washing with a damp sponge is
recommended. When cleaning the electric bike,
do not immerse the electrical elements such as
the battery, motor, screen, etc. The charging port
must be properly closed.
After washing: dry and oil the transmission
components (derailleur, lever), suspension,
brake levers as well as the chain.
