Entrapment zones
The following entrapment information refer to the IEC 60601-2-52 standard and the FDA standard Hospital Bed
System Dimensional and Assessment Guidance to Reduce Entrapment.

• Always assess the risk of entrapment if the support surface is used on a bed that is not from Umano Medical.
Do not place the patient on the surface if there are any gaps between the mattress and the siderails and/
or the head and foot boards. If not, situation could become hazardous for patient fall or patient entrapment.
