INTRODUCTION
This manual includes instructions and information that are necessary for a normal and secure use of the
oneNEST, model S, mattress. Reading and understanding of instructions and information included in this manual,
or other documents supplied with the product, are required prior to usage, or prior to perform maintenance on the
equipment.
Product description
The oneNEST, model S, mattress is a non-powered foam surface designed in a zoned construction to offer
optimal pressure redistribution, deep immersion, and envelopment of bony prominences. The design of this
surface reduces horizontal shear and friction forces, helps transfer pressure off the heels while offering optimal
comfort. The expected life under normal usage and maintenance is 10 years for foam mattress and 3 years for
cover.
Mattress dimensions will be offered with lengths of 80" or 84" and width of 35". The height of the mattress is 8".
The overall capacity of the mattress is 500 lb/226.8 kg.
Product intended use
The oneNEST, model S, mattress assists in the prevention and in the treatment of all pressure injuries (including
stages 1, 2, 3, 4, unstageable, and deep tissue pressure injury). The mattress is a prevention surface for patients
with moderate to high risk of developing a pressure injury. It can also assist in the treatment of patients with
existing pressure injuries or at high risk of developing them. The choice of mattress should always be determined
by a healthcare professional and include a complete clinical evaluation of the risks factors. It is designed for use
in the following environments: intensive and critical care, acute care, outpatient care, professional long term care
and, recovery or therapeutic areas.
The oneNEST, model S, mattress is intended to be used with one single person. The therapeutic weight capacity
is for patient between 80 lb/36.3 kg and 350 lb/158.7 kg. Users are healthcare professionals, maintenance staff
and/or housecleaning personnel. Only trained personnel or service technician should perform installation or
maintenance on the mattress.
