8 Remote start
The IS1 control unit can be started and stopped via a potential-free contact.
Use the adapter cable available as an optional accessory to this end.
8.1 Remote start with continuous contact
If the remote start contact is closed for longer than 0.3sec, the control unit operates until it is reopened or the
running time set under Point 11.8 is attained.
8.2 Remote start with impulse contact
If an impulse is applied to the remote start contact <1sec, the control unit detects this. The running time set un-
der Point 11.8 is added to the currently remaining running time.
Example:
-> The control unit is on stand-by and a running time of 10 mins is set under Point 11.8
==> The control unit now runs for 10min and then reverts to stand-by
-> if the remote start contact is closed again during the running time, the control unit adds 10 mins to the
remaining time.
Example:
-> the control unit still has 6 mins of running time remaining from the last start. A lmups is reapplied at the
remote start input.
==> The control unit adds the time set under Point xxx to the remaining 6 minutes and now thus has
a remaining running time of 16 mins
Heed the regulations in EN60335-2-53 to prevent injury to people and damage to property.
