• DRY IRONING
o
The iron can also be used without steam:
▪
To do this, set the steam control to position "0".
▪
Do not operate the pistol grip for dry ironing.
o
Note: Check the care instructions on the labels in the garment to see if the garment
is suitable for ironing and at which temperature setting.
o
Warning! Do not iron the garment if the care instructions in the garment
prohibit ironing. You could otherwise damage the garment.
• FILLING WITH WATER DURING IRONING
o
Caution! Always turn the appliance off and pull the power plug out of the socket be-
fore filling the boiler with water.
o
Should you need to refill the iron when ironing, please proceed as follows:

Set the switch (7) to "0."
▪
Pull the power plug out of the socket.
▪
Simply press the steam button (4) with your index finger up to the stop and re-
lease the steam pressure from inside.
▪
Unscrew the safety cap (1) on the boiler. Use the cap screw provided (3) to facil-
itate its removal. The cap screw provides for a better grip on the safety cap and
protects you from inadvertent burns.

Pour a small amount of water into the boiler 2 or 3 times to release the steam in
the boiler. Next refill the boiler as normal.

Bear in mind that you never fill the iron with more than 300 cm3 of water, i.e. the
amount stipulated on the measuring cup. To ensure that the stipulated water volume
is not exceeded, the iron must first be emptied before it is refilled.

Completely retighten the safety cap.
▪
Plug the power plug back into the socket.
▪
Steam will be generated within a short time.
• TIPS
o
You should iron pure woollen fabrics, silk and synthetics either on their reverse sides
or vertically to prevent shine marks on the materials. For other fabrics, particularly
velvet, you can prevent shine marks by ironing in a single direction (with a cloth), and
applying slight pressure. Make sure you are constantly moving the iron over the ma-
terial being ironed.

Straight items: Lay the garment on the ironing board as normal. Simply press the
steam button with your index finger for as long as you see creases. When there are
no more creases, run the iron over it again until it has dried. If you have folded the
