o Fill the steam generator with water before using
the appliance. Before refilling water, always pull
the plug of the connection cable out of the socket.
o Always use the funnel (11) and the measuring cup
(12) to fill the water.
o After ironing, or if you want to go away for a short
time, do not forget to set the switch (7) to "0" and
pull the plug out of the socket.
o Before the iron has reached the optimum temper-
ature, water may emerge from the steam vents
when the steam button is pressed.
o Never iron clothes that are already worn on the
body.
o Do not touch the metal parts, the hot water or the
steam during operation and in the first minutes af-
ter switching off as there is a risk of burns.
o Do not use sparkling water (with added carbon di-
oxide). If the water is particularly hard, it is advisa-
ble to use decalcified water (see instructions on
page 78 and 79).
o Never place the hot iron on the connection cable
or the connecting cable and make sure that they do
not touch the hot ironing surface.
o Never pull the connecting cable plug out of the
socket.
