o Children must not play with the product. Keep the
appliance and its connecting cable away from chil-
dren.
o Cleaning and user maintenance must not be car-
ried out by children unless under supervision.
o A damaged mains cable must only be replaced by
the manufacturer, a workshop appointed by the
manufacturer or a similar qualified person in order
to avoid hazards.
o The appliance must not be used if it has been
dropped, if there is visible damage or if liquid is
leaking from it. To avoid danger, all repairs, includ-
ing replacement of the connecting cable, must be
carried out by the customer service department or
a specialist electrician.
o The iron and its connecting cable must be kept out
of reach of children under the age of 8 when it is
switched on or cooling down.
o The iron must not be left unattended when it is
connected to the power supply.
o Always unplug the iron from the mains before fill-
ing it with water or emptying it.
