Retaining shaft assembly
For packing reasons, the cylinder is descended in the
lowest position.
After completing the assembly, bring the log splitter to
its working position.
To do so, start the engine, raise the cylinder to its
working position.
Press the two operation handles (5 & 10) downwards
until the cylinder raise to the top of the machine, then
insert two shafts (A) into the holes of the machine, and
lock with two R-pins (B) to secure the cylinder on the
machine.
4.3- Set up and preparation for operation
- Check that the machine is completely and correctly assembled according to local regulations.
- Make sure that no parts are missing. If one (or more) part(s) is (are) missing, do NOT use the splitter.
Contact your local dealer to obtain the missing parts and make sure to correctly assemble them before
using the machine. Failure to do so may result in serious injury.
- Before using the machine, make sure each time that
- there are no faulty connections (tears, cuts, etc.)
- there is no damage to the machine
- all screws are tight
- check the hydraulic system for any possible leaks, refill oil if necessary
- Ensure that the working area meets the following conditions:
- flat levelled surface and strong enough to support the weight of the machine.
- no danger of slipping
- free of obstacles
- sufficiently well lit
- Do not operate the machine in the direct vicinity of gas or petrol pipes or containers, or any other
easily inflammable or explosive materials.
- Proceed to following functional test prior to each use:
Check oil level before each use!
Action
Press both handles down
Release one handle while splitting or lift
return bracket
Release both handles simultaneously
4.4- Electrical requirements
With a 230V~ 50Hz motor, the log splitter should be connected to standard 230V10% (50Hz1Hz).
The mains connection should be fused for a maximum of 16A.
The electrical supply must be fitted with protection devices of under-voltage, over-voltage, and
over-current as well as a residual current device (RCD), which maximum residual current rated at
0.03A.
Electrical connection rubber cables must comply with EN60245 which are always marked with
H07RN, and with cross section greater than 2.5mm
Result
The splitting knife (wedge) goes down to
approx. 10cm above the table.
The splitting knife (wedge) remains in
selected position.
The splitting knife (wedge) runs back to
