Software update
It is recommended that the ventilation unit is updated before adjustment.
The following options are available.
Update via internal web server:
1. Download the latest firmware including the easyControls 3.0 Update tool (ZIP folder) from www.heliosventilatoren.de
in the Service area under Software.
For more information see the easyControls 3.0 Update tool instructions.
Update via KWL-BE Touch:
1. Download the latest easyControls 3.0 firmware at www.heliosventilatoren.de in the Service area under Software.
2. Save this file to an empty Micro SD card (max. 32 GB Format FAT 32) and turn off the ventilation unit.
3. Insert the Micro SD card in the card slot on the connected KWL-BE Touch and turn on the ventilation unit again.
4. The update will start automatically in the background.
The KWL-BE Touch updates itself directly when it is restarted, afterwards the unit update is started. The upda-
te process of the ventilation unit takes up to 60 minutes with the KWL-BE Touch.
Update via the internet:
An update from version 1.0.17 and older to a newer version must take place via KWL-BE Touch or the easy-
Controls 3.0 Update tool (see previous points: "Update via KWL-BE Touch", "Update via internal web server").
An update via the internet is only available from version 1.0.19.
1. Connect your ventilation unit to your router using a LAN cable.
2. Access the local web server, as described in the ventilation unit installation and operating instructions.
3. Select the menu item Settings.
4. Enter the unlock code and unlock the settings menu.
5. Go to Connect on the Cloud service submenu.
The ventilation unit will now directly download and install the latest software version in the background.

Adjustment
ⓘ The unit can only be adjusted following a successful initial commissioning. The adjustment is absolutely neces-
sary to ensure the optimal functionality of the unit.
6.4.1 Conditions for adjustment
• The installation of the ventilation system must be complete.
• Ventilation components such as the unit, distribution box and valves must be freely accessible.
• The unit must be electrically connected and operational (ensure clean filter in unit!).
• The ventilation valves must be fully open.
• The initial commissioning has been successful.
• All planned overflow openings (door gaps, ventilation grilles, or the like) between the rooms must be available and
clear.
• A flow rate calculation has been carried out for the individual operating points (total or per room). We recommend
calculation in accordance with DIN 1946-6.
6.4.2 Perform pressure measurement for adjusting the system
Necessary equipment:
• Pressure gauge
• Flow rate measuring device with measuring funnel and settling section
• KWL
unit characteristic curves for supply air and extract air (included in installation and operating instructions)
®
• Design calculation
In order to adjust the system, a pressure measurement must be performed to determine the system characteristic curve
and the corresponding operating points.
The flow rate depending on static pressure is specified in the unit characteristic curve.
Operating point: The operating point is the point where the unit characteristic curve intersects the system characteristic curve.
Flow rate:
The flow rate which is set in the unit can be read on the horizontal axis.
