Safety
NOTE
Damage to the plug connectors or cables due to the weight of the inverter.
Cables or plug connectors connected to the inverter may be damaged when setting down the
inverter.
f Do not set the inverter down on the cables or plug connectors.
f Only install the cable and plug if the inverter is mounted at the mounting location.
f Remove the cables and plug connectors before disassembling the inverter at the assembly
site.
DC and AC cables may interfere with data transmission.
f Keep a distance of 200 mm between the data connecting cables (RS485/Ethernet) and the
DC/AC cables.
The inverter cannot cause a DC residual current due to its design.
If local installation regulations require the installation of an external residual current device
in the AC connection line, a type A residual current device (RCD) is sufficient. The tripping
current should be rated at least 100 mA or higher. If several inverters are installed in a system,
a corresponding earth-leakage circuit breaker (RCD) must be installed for each individual
inverter.
Costs due to data transmission.
During operation, the inverter transmits data to the sunCloud monitoring portal and can
download firmware updates from the internet. The data volume may vary depending on the
system configuration and the frequency of firmware updates.
Data transmission via a public network may cause additional costs.
f Obtain information on costs possibly involved prior to the use of a public network.
f Select a rate with sufficient data allowance or a flat-rate.
f Alternatively: Deactivate data transmission to the sunCloud monitoring portal.
For the SolBrid inverter to commence feed-in operation, a country parameter set must be set
during initial commissioning. After the initial commissioning wizard is complete, the feed-in
operation starts automatically.
If the commissioning wizard is complete during initial commissioning and the green LED is
flashing, the inverter is feeding into the grid. From this point, changes can only be made using
the installer code.
